Construction & Design
The FS-600 S3 features a steel column and base plate construction that prioritises rigidity and stability. The column is fillable, allowing the user to add mass (such as sand or lead shot) to further damp resonance and lower the stand's centre of gravity. An M6 bolt mounting system on the top plate secures each 600 S3 series speaker firmly in place, creating a tight mechanical coupling between speaker and stand that reduces cabinet movement during playback.
Both spiked feet and rubber pads are included, making the stands suitable for hard floors and carpeted surfaces alike. Integrated cable management routes speaker cables through the stand column for a clean, unobtrusive installation.
Compatibility
The FS-600 S3 is engineered specifically for the Bowers & Wilkins 606 S3 and 607 S3 bookshelf speakers. The top plate bolt pattern matches the threaded inserts on the base of these speakers, ensuring a secure fit. While the stands may physically support other bookshelf speakers of similar size, the mounting hardware is optimised for the 600 S3 series.
