The Advance Paris MyConnect 150 sits at the heart of the French manufacturer's MyConnect range of all-in-one systems, positioned between the entry-level MyConnect 60 and the flagship MyConnect 250. Where many all-in-one units compromise on amplification to fit everything into a single chassis, the MyConnect 150 takes a different approach: its amplifier section delivers 2 x 130W RMS into 8Ω (rising to 190W into 4Ω and 250W into 2.66Ω), giving it the authority to drive full-size floorstanding speakers without strain.
Tube Preamplifier Stage
A defining feature of the MyConnect 150 is its tube-based preamplifier section. The valve stage sits ahead of the Class AB power amplifier, imparting the harmonic richness and natural warmth associated with tube circuitry whilst the solid-state output stage provides the current delivery and control needed for demanding loudspeaker loads. A pair of illuminated VU meters on the front panel reflects the signal level in real time.
Digital-to-Analogue Conversion
Digital signal processing is handled by an AKM AK4490 DAC operating at 32-bit resolution, paired with an AK4118 digital transceiver. Via the rear-panel USB-B input (using an XMOS receiver), the MyConnect 150 accepts PCM audio at sample rates from 44.1kHz up to 384kHz at 24/32-bit depth, as well as DSD64, DSD128 and DSD256 via DoP. The optical input supports PCM up to 24-bit/96kHz, while the coaxial input extends to 24-bit/192kHz.
Integrated Sources
The MyConnect 150 integrates a CD player, an FM tuner and a DAB/DAB+ digital radio tuner, eliminating the need for separate source components. Network streaming is provided over both Wi-Fi and Ethernet, with access to Spotify, Qobuz, Deezer, Tidal and TuneIn through the Advance PlayStream app for iOS and Android. Bluetooth connectivity is available via the optional X-FTB2 dongle. A front-panel USB-A port allows playback from USB storage devices.
Connectivity
Rear-panel connections include analogue RCA inputs (including a dedicated MM/MC phono stage for turntable use), optical and coaxial digital inputs, USB-B for direct computer connection, and Ethernet for wired network streaming. The system can also be controlled via the supplied remote control or directly from the front panel.
