Back in Black is AC/DC's seventh studio album, originally released in July 1980. It was the band's first album with vocalist Brian Johnson, recorded in the wake of original singer Bon Scott's death, and its all-black sleeve with embossed lettering was conceived as a sign of mourning.
The record went on to become one of the best-selling albums of all time and a defining statement of hard rock, pairing Johnson's vocals with the Young brothers' guitar work across ten tracks that include the title track, "Hells Bells" and "You Shook Me All Night Long".
