Wharfedale Evo 5.2 Speaker Stands (Pair)

The Wharfedale EVO 5.2 Stands are purpose-built speaker stands designed to partner the EVO 5.1 and EVO 5.2 bookshelf speakers from Wharfedale’s EVO 5 series. Rather than a generic stand adapted to fit, these are engineered from the ground up to match the EVO 5.2’s cabinet dimensions and aesthetic, with curved top and bottom plates that mirror the speaker’s own design language.

Construction

The stands are fabricated from high-carbon steel using laser-cutting for precise tolerances. The 260 × 350mm top plate is shaped to cradle the EVO 5.2 securely, while the weighted base lowers the centre of gravity for improved stability. At 13.3kg per stand, the mass helps to anchor the speaker and dampen any cabinet-induced vibration that might otherwise colour the sound.

Isolation and Stability

Four fully adjustable spikes are included for use on carpeted floors, decoupling the stand from the surface beneath and tightening bass response. Rubber feet are also supplied as an alternative for hard flooring, where spikes could cause damage. The combination of a heavy, rigid structure and effective floor coupling means less energy is lost to cabinet movement — the driver does the work, not the enclosure.

Listening Height

The 478mm stand height positions the EVO 5.2’s tweeter at a seated ear level that suits most domestic listening arrangements. Correct vertical alignment keeps the listener on-axis with the tweeter, which is where imaging and high-frequency detail are at their best.
