Terms and Conditions
1. About These Terms
These terms and conditions ("terms") are the agreement between you and us. By placing an order, you agree to these terms. If any other information we publish contradicts these terms, these terms take precedence.
- Definitions: "We" and "us" refer to Quantum Zero Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (number 16337678).
2. Ordering and Acceptance
When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy goods from us. We accept your offer when we dispatch the items. If you order multiple items at once, each item is a separate offer, and we accept them individually upon dispatch. We can cancel an order before dispatch or, in rare cases, even after (e.g., if you refuse a delivery or we detect fraud).
3. Payment
You agree to pay the price shown at the time you order. Payment is due before we dispatch your goods. All payments and refunds are in pounds sterling (GBP). We are not responsible for currency exchange rates or related fees.
4. Pricing and Availability
We can change prices on our website at any time. The price you pay is the one in effect on the day you place your order. All prices on our website are in GBP and include VAT unless stated otherwise.
While we try to provide accurate stock information, we cannot guarantee an item is available when you order. Any stock or completion dates we provide are estimates and may change.
5. Dispatch and Delivery
Dispatch Delays
Dispatch may be delayed if your payment hasn't cleared, if we need to perform extra security checks, or if you are applying for credit and your application is not complete. We do not dispatch or deliver on public holidays. We may also combine or split orders at our discretion.
Standard and Expedited Services
- Standard delivery times are not guaranteed.
- Expedited delivery uses a courier. If the courier fails to deliver by the promised date, you can request a refund of the delivery charges. Any estimated delivery time slots provided by the carrier are not guaranteed.
Large or Bulky Items
- Kerbside delivery: This is standard for large items. Drivers may, at their discretion, bring items inside if there is safe and sufficient access, otherwise you are responsible for moving them inside.
- Arranged delivery: We or our courier will contact you to schedule a delivery. You must inform us of any stairs, obstructions, or parking restrictions in advance.
- Home delivery: We will bring items into your home on the ground floor only, provided it is safe to do so. We will not install, assemble, or set up items unless we've agreed to it in writing as an extra service. If it's unsafe to deliver, we have the right to cancel your order and refund you.
If a delivery fails because of incorrect information you provided, you are responsible for any re-delivery costs. We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances outside our control (e.g., severe weather).
6. Problems with Delivery or Items
Damaged, Incomplete, or Lost Items
Please inspect all items upon receipt. If an item is damaged, missing parts, or incorrect, you should either refuse the delivery or inform us as soon as possible. We will not accept claims made after a reasonable amount of time has passed.
If a dispatched item does not arrive, you must notify us within 30 days of the expected delivery date. We will not accept claims for lost items after this period.
Defective Items
Please report any defects to us as soon as possible and provide any information we request. We will pass on the manufacturer's warranty to you, and you must comply with its conditions. If an item you return as defective is found to be working or was damaged by you, a £49 fee will be charged to cover diagnostics and shipping.
Covered Costs
We will provide a pre-paid returns label, arrange a collection, or cover your return shipping costs if we agree to do so. However, we will only cover the cheapest available shipping option with appropriate insurance. We will not cover packaging costs or fees for additional services. Items are your responsibility until they are delivered to us.
If we arrange a collection from you, you must pack the item and have it ready on the agreed-upon date. You will be responsible for costs if you are not available for the collection.
Insurance and Replacements
If an item is damaged in transit and we need to make an insurance claim, both parties agree to provide any necessary information. If a replacement is needed and we can't get the original item, we may offer a suitable alternative of equal or greater value.
7. Unwanted Items
30-Day Returns
You may return an unopened, unused, and undamaged item (including its packaging) for a full refund within 30 days of receipt. This does not apply to made-to-order, custom, or personalised goods.
Statutory Right to Cancel
If you are a consumer and bought the item online, you have a statutory right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods. You can do this by sending us a clear statement (e.g., by letter or email). Sealed items for hygiene reasons (e.g., in-ear headphones) cannot be returned once the seal is broken.
Effects of Cancellation
If you cancel, we will refund all payments, including the original delivery cost (excluding any extra costs you chose, like expedited shipping). We may deduct from your refund if the goods have lost value due to unnecessary handling by you. The refund will be processed within 14 days of us receiving the goods back or you providing proof of return, whichever is sooner.
You are responsible for the direct cost and all arrangements for returning the goods.
Additional Terms
You must return all items from an order if you received a discount (e.g., a bundle discount), paid with a finance plan, or are using your statutory right to cancel. You must also return any free items you received, or we will deduct their value from your refund.
8. Customs and Exporting Goods
If you export an order outside the UK, you are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or customs fees. We cannot provide advice on these matters.
9. Accuracy of Information
Product photos, dimensions, and descriptions are a guide only. We are not responsible for information published by third parties like search engines or price comparison sites.
10. Sale of Non-New Items
If you purchase a non-new item (e.g., ex-display, refurbished), please be aware of the following:
- The item's condition will be described. If you collect it, you must check its condition yourself.
- Items may not be complete or have original packaging.
- The manufacturer's warranty may be reduced or not apply.
11. Limitation of Liability
We are not responsible for any business losses (e.g., lost profits) or any other indirect losses that were not reasonably foreseeable. Our maximum liability to you will not exceed the value of your order. This does not limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
12. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
This contract is governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
