At the heart of the design is a CNC-machined wooden plinth with no plastic parts and no hollow spaces inside, eliminating unwanted vibrations from the chassis. The heavy 8mm blasted-glass platter sits on a precision 0.001mm main bearing with a hardened stainless steel axle and brass bushing, providing a smooth, anti-resonant rotational platform.
The 8.6-inch one-piece aluminium tonearm is a standout feature. Its integrated headshell avoids the additional vibrations caused by detachable, screwed-on or glued-on alternatives. Low-friction bearings guarantee tracking accuracy, while the belt-driven motor with electronically controlled speed system ensures stable 33 and 45 RPM playback at the touch of a button.
The T1 Evo Phono SB comes pre-fitted with an Ortofon OM 10 Moving Magnet cartridge featuring an elliptical diamond stylus tip, and includes Pro-Ject’s Connect it E semi-symmetrical, low-capacitance phono cables — purpose-designed for turntables rather than generic off-the-shelf RCA cables.
