Polk Audio Signature Elite ES10 Satellite Speakers Black (Pair)

The Polk Audio Signature Elite ES10 is a compact satellite speaker designed for surround and rear-channel duties in home cinema systems. Part of Polk’s Signature Elite series, the ES10 sits alongside the larger ES20 bookshelf and ES50/ES60 floorstanding models. Hi-Res Audio certified and compatible with both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X immersive audio formats, it handles frequencies up to 40kHz for detailed, extended treble reproduction.

Driver Technology

The ES10 uses a two-way driver array comprising a 1-inch (2.54cm) Terylene dome tweeter with a ceramic motor structure and a 4-inch (10.16cm) Dynamic Balance woofer with a mica-reinforced polypropylene cone. The Terylene tweeter material was selected for its combination of lightness and rigidity, enabling the wide bandwidth needed for Hi-Res Audio certification. The mica-reinforced polypropylene woofer cone is designed to minimise distortion across the midrange and upper bass.

Power Port Bass Enhancement

Polk’s patented Power Port technology replaces a conventional rear port with a downward-firing port that terminates into a shaped diffuser. This provides greater surface area and smoother airflow than a simple tube port, reducing turbulence and the audible chuffing that can occur at higher volumes. The result is cleaner, more extended bass from a compact enclosure.

Cabinet & Mounting

The cabinet is constructed from critically damped Medite MDF, chosen for its density and vibration-damping properties. A removable anti-diffraction magnetic grille sits flush against the baffle to minimise edge reflections when fitted. For installation flexibility, the ES10 includes both a rear keyhole slot and a 1/4”-20 threaded insert, allowing wall mounting via a standard bracket or direct to the wall. It can also be placed on a shelf or bookcase.

Connections

A single pair of gold-plated 5-way binding posts accepts bare wire, spade connectors, banana plugs, or pin connectors. The ES10 is rated for use with amplifiers delivering between 20 and 100 watts per channel and is compatible with both 4-ohm and 8-ohm outputs.
