The Marantz CD6007 is engineered to deliver accurate, musical playback from both compact discs and high-resolution digital sources. Building on Marantz’s long-standing design approach, it combines carefully tuned analogue circuitry with modern digital conversion to maintain consistency across all supported formats.

Marantz’s proprietary HDAM circuitry is used in place of conventional integrated op-amps, employing discrete surface-mount components arranged in symmetrical left and right signal paths. This design is intended to improve slew rate and reduce noise, contributing to greater dynamic accuracy and detail retrieval.

A high-current power supply supports stable operation during demanding listening sessions, using fast-recovery Schottky barrier diodes and increased-capacity storage capacitors. The power supply capacitance has been increased by 120% compared with the previous model to improve current stability and reduce AC noise.

Digital conversion is handled by a reference-grade AK4490 DAC, offering selectable digital filter modes to tailor playback characteristics. High-resolution audio files can be played directly from USB storage devices, extending the CD6007’s role beyond disc playback alone.
