Monitor Audio W150-LCR In-Wall Speaker (Single)

The W150-LCR is part of Monitor Audio’s Core range of architectural speakers, designed for custom installation in walls. Built around a 2-way configuration, the W150-LCR pairs twin 5-inch MMP II (Metal Matrix Polymer) cone bass drivers with a 1-inch (25 mm) C-CAM (Ceramic-Coated Aluminium/Magnesium) Gold Dome tweeter. The tweeter sits on a pivoting mount that adjusts up to 15 degrees in each direction, allowing the high-frequency output to be aimed towards the listening position regardless of the speaker’s physical placement in the wall.

Versatile LCR Design

The W150-LCR can be mounted vertically or horizontally, making it suitable for left, centre, and right channel duties within a single model. This flexibility simplifies multi-channel installations where consistent tonal character across the front soundstage is important. The dual 5-inch driver layout delivers a frequency response of 60 Hz– 30 kHz, with 88 dB sensitivity and a maximum SPL of 108 dBA.

Construction & Installation

The enclosure is constructed from mineral-filled ABS (RoHS compliant) and uses Monitor Audio’s Tri-Grip dog fixing system for secure, tool-free mounting into the wall cavity. The cut-out measures 145 × 353 mm, with a mounting depth of 100.2 mm. An optional WB5LCR pre-construction bracket (sold separately) is available for new-build installations where the speaker position needs to be fixed before plasterboard is fitted.
