Driver & Amplification

At the heart of the AE Sub is a 12-inch long-excursion driver with a doped and stiffened pulp-fibre cone, powered by a 250W RMS Class D amplifier. The sealed, downward-firing cabinet design avoids the port noise and overhang associated with ported subwoofers, delivering tight, controlled bass with usable extension down to a claimed 26Hz (±6dB). The downward-firing configuration also means the driver is protected from accidental damage and the bass energy is dispersed evenly across the floor surface.

Connectivity

The AE Sub accommodates virtually any system configuration. Stereo line-level RCA inputs handle standard preamp or processor connections, a dedicated LFE/Sub RCA input manages home cinema duties via an AV receiver, and high-level stereo binding posts allow integration with amplifiers that lack a dedicated subwoofer output. This range of inputs makes the AE Sub a genuinely versatile addition to both stereo and surround setups.

Room Integration

A continuously variable crossover (40–180Hz) lets you set the handover point to match your main speakers, while 0–180° phase control ensures the subwoofer stays in time with the rest of the system regardless of placement. An independent volume dial provides fine adjustment, and an auto on/off function powers the unit down when no signal is detected — and wakes it when music or film audio resumes.

Build & Placement

Measuring 360 × 360 × 360mm — a perfect cube — the AE Sub is compact enough to tuck beside furniture or into a corner. It ships with carpet-piercing spikes for solid coupling on carpeted floors and rubber caps for use on hard surfaces. Available in Matte Black or Matte White to complement a range of interiors.
