The Q Acoustics 3060S is the slimline active subwoofer designed to complement the 3000i series of speakers, delivering controlled low-frequency reinforcement without demanding significant floor space. Sitting below the larger QB12 in Q Acoustics’ subwoofer lineup, the 3060S is engineered for rooms where a conventional cube-shaped subwoofer would be impractical or visually intrusive.
Driver and Amplification
At the heart of the 3060S is a 200mm long-throw bass driver powered by a 150W Class D amplifier. The infinite baffle enclosure design eliminates the need for a rear port, keeping the cabinet depth to just 150mm and allowing placement flush against a wall or mounted directly to it. The variable crossover is adjustable from 35Hz to 250Hz, giving flexibility to blend with a wide range of satellite speakers and room configurations.
Slim Cabinet Design
The 3060S measures just 300 × 480 × 150mm (cabinet dimensions) with an effective internal volume of 10.6 litres. Its slim profile means it can stand upright on the floor using the supplied rubber feet or spikes, lie horizontally beneath a piece of furniture, or be wall-mounted using an optional dedicated bracket. All controls and connections are concealed behind a magnetic hatch on the rear panel, and the down-facing port allows cables to be routed discreetly out of sight.
Build and Finish
The cabinet features the same elegantly curved cabinetry found across the 3000i range, with a chrome-finish bezel surrounding the driver and a magnetic speaker grille for a clean, seamless appearance. The Arctic White finish provides a bright, neutral aesthetic that blends with light-coloured interiors and complements other 3000i speakers in the same finish.
Integration with the 3000i Series
The 3060S is designed as the bass foundation for 3000i-based systems, pairing naturally with bookshelf models such as the 3010i and 3020i, or with the 3050i floorstanders in a home cinema configuration. It is included as standard in the 3010i 5.1 Cinema Pack and the 3050i 5.1 Cinema Pack, where it handles the LFE channel.
