Bowers & Wilkins HTM6 S3 Centre Speaker Black

The Bowers & Wilkins HTM6 S3 is a dedicated centre channel speaker from the 600 Series S3 range, engineered to deliver clear, articulate dialogue and seamless integration with the 603 S3 and 607 S3 floorstanding and bookshelf speakers in a multi-channel home cinema system.

Titanium Dome Tweeter

At the heart of the HTM6 S3 is the Decoupled Double Dome Titanium tweeter — a new addition to the 600 Series S3 that replaces the aluminium dome used in the previous generation. The titanium construction delivers exceptional resolution and insight with smooth, refined high-frequency reproduction. The tweeter is protected by an acoustically transparent grille mesh first developed for the Signature models, ensuring the sound remains unimpeded even with the grille in place.

Continuum Cone Drivers

Twin 130mm Continuum cone bass/midrange drivers provide the foundation of the HTM6 S3’s performance. The composite Continuum cone avoids the abrupt transitions in behaviour that can impair conventional drive units, resulting in a more open, neutral midrange that reproduces voices and instruments with precision and transparency. This is particularly important for a centre channel speaker, where dialogue clarity is paramount.

Cabinet Design and Flowport

The HTM6 S3 uses a 2-way vented-box design with Bowers & Wilkins’ Flowport technology. The Flowport’s dimpled surface reduces air turbulence at the port exit, minimising unwanted noise and improving bass definition. The cabinet measures just 160 x 480 x 255mm, making it compact enough to sit on or beneath most AV furniture while still delivering powerful, room-filling sound.

Connectivity

Upgraded speaker terminals derived from the 700 Series range provide an improved layout and a cleaner signal path between amplifier and loudspeakers. The HTM6 S3 presents a nominal 8Ω impedance with a minimum of 4.3Ω, and is rated for amplifiers delivering between 30W and 120W into 8Ω.
