Monitor Audio Bronze 6G 100 Bookshelf Speakers Walnut (Pair)

The Bronze 100 is the larger of two bookshelf speakers in Monitor Audio’s Bronze Series 6th Generation range, sitting above the compact Bronze 50 and below the floorstanding Bronze 200. Built around an 8” C-CAM bass/mid-range driver and a 25mm C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter fitted with the Uniform Dispersion (UD) Waveguide, the Bronze 100 is engineered to deliver a detailed, dynamic listening experience from a speaker that remains practical enough for shelf or stand placement.

Driver Technology

The 8” bass/mid-range driver uses Monitor Audio’s proprietary C-CAM (Ceramic-Coated Aluminium/Magnesium) cone material, formed with a conical diaphragm geometry that increases rigidity and control across the operating bandwidth. The cone is paired with Damped Concentric Mode (DCM) technology, which manages resonance at the cone’s break-up point for smoother roll-off into the crossover region.

The 25mm C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter is fitted with the Uniform Dispersion Waveguide, a profiled surround that widens the high-frequency sweet spot and delivers consistent treble response across a broader listening area. The crossover network hands over at 2.2 kHz, blending the two drivers through a carefully optimised filter topology.

Cabinet & Port Design

The cabinet is constructed from MDF with a 21mm baffle and 15mm side panels, internally braced to reduce panel resonance at higher listening levels. At the rear, the HiVe II (High Velocity, low noise) reflex port uses a dimpled internal surface to smooth airflow and reduce port turbulence, allowing the Bronze 100 to reach down to 37 Hz without audible chuffing. The rear port position means the speakers benefit from some breathing room behind them — Monitor Audio recommend leaving a gap between the rear panel and the wall for best bass balance.

Connections & Build

The terminal panel carries gold-plated bi-wire binding posts, giving the option to bi-wire or bi-amp for those who want to run separate cables to the low-frequency and high-frequency sections of the crossover. Internal cabling uses silver-plated Pureflow oxygen-free copper throughout the signal path.

The Bronze 100 is available in four contemporary vinyl finishes — Black, Urban Grey, Walnut, and White — each designed to complement modern living spaces. All variants share the same acoustic specification.
