Denon CEOL RCDN11 Network CD Receiver Black

The Denon CEOL RCDN11 sits within Denon's long-running CEOL range of compact all-in-one systems, positioned as a network CD receiver that combines streaming, disc playback, and radio into a single chassis. It succeeds the CEOL N10 and adds HEOS multiroom capability, AirPlay 2 integration, and Hi-Res audio support via USB and network inputs. The unit is designed to pair with passive bookshelf speakers, delivering 65W per channel from its Class D amplifier.

Streaming and Network Audio

At the heart of the RCDN11 is HEOS Built-in, Denon's wireless multiroom platform shared with their AV receiver and wireless speaker ranges. Once connected to a home network via Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n, dual-band 2.4/5 GHz) or Ethernet, the unit provides access to Spotify, Amazon Music, Deezer, Tidal, TuneIn internet radio, SoundCloud, and iHeartRadio directly through the HEOS app. Music stored on a NAS drive or shared computer folder can also be streamed over the network.

AirPlay 2 support allows streaming from any Apple device with the ability to group multiple AirPlay 2-compatible speakers throughout the home. Bluetooth 4.1 provides a quick wireless connection from smartphones and tablets without requiring network configuration.

Hi-Res Audio Support

The RCDN11 supports high-resolution audio playback via both its front-panel USB-A input and network streaming. Supported formats include DSD at 2.8 and 5.6 MHz, plus WAV, FLAC, and Apple Lossless (ALAC) files at sampling rates up to 192 kHz/24-bit. Gapless playback is supported for WAV, FLAC, ALAC, and DSD formats. Lower-resolution formats including MP3, WMA, and AAC are also supported for broader compatibility.

CD Player and DAB+/FM Tuner

The built-in CD player handles standard audio CDs as well as CD-R and CD-RW discs containing MP3 and WMA files. The integrated tuner covers DAB+ digital radio across the Band III spectrum (174.928–239.200 MHz) and FM radio from 87.5 to 108.0 MHz with RDS support, providing access to the full range of UK national and local stations.

Amplification and Connectivity

The Class D amplifier delivers a rated 65W + 65W into 4-ohm loads at 1 kHz, with dynamic power reaching 80W per channel. Total harmonic distortion measures 0.1% at 5W into 4 ohms, and the signal-to-noise ratio is 90 dB at 10W. The amplifier section covers a frequency response of 10 Hz to 40 kHz (±3 dB) and supports speaker impedances from 4 to 16 ohms.

Physical connectivity includes a stereo RCA analogue input, two optical digital inputs for connecting a television or other digital source, a subwoofer output for bass reinforcement, and a front-panel USB-A port. The optical inputs support a TV remote learning function, allowing the Denon remote to control television volume. A three-level headphone amplifier gain selector accommodates headphones of varying sensitivity.

Design and Control

The unit features a three-line OLED display on the front panel for source, track, and status information. The compact chassis is finished in a high-quality matte black and is designed to complement a pair of bookshelf speakers on a shelf or desktop. Voice control is supported through Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple Siri when used in conjunction with compatible smart speakers or devices.
