The Bowers & Wilkins HTM6 S2 Anniversary Edition is the dedicated centre channel speaker in the 600 Series Anniversary range, sitting alongside the 603 S2, 606 S2 and 607 S2 Anniversary Edition models. Launched to mark twenty-five years of the 600 Series, the Anniversary Edition retains the acoustic architecture of the standard HTM6 S2 while introducing an upgraded crossover design and cosmetic refinements that distinguish it from the outgoing model.

Continuum Cone Technology

At the heart of the HTM6 S2 Anniversary Edition are twin 130mm Continuum cone bass/midrange drivers, a material originally developed for the flagship 800 Series Diamond loudspeakers. The composite weave of the Continuum cone avoids the abrupt transitions in behaviour found in conventional metal or paper drivers, delivering a more open, natural midrange particularly suited to dialogue reproduction in home cinema systems.

Decoupled Double Dome Tweeter

High frequencies are handled by a 25mm Decoupled Double Dome aluminium tweeter. The double-dome construction pushes the breakup point to 38kHz, well above the audible range, ensuring clean treble output across the entire operating bandwidth. For the Anniversary Edition, the tweeter features a new surround ring with anniversary lettering.

Anniversary Crossover Upgrade

The most significant acoustic change in the Anniversary Edition is an upgraded crossover network featuring higher-quality capacitors, some of which are sourced from the more premium 700 Series. This revised crossover design delivers greater detail and transparency compared to the standard HTM6 S2.

Flowport Bass Reflex Design

The bass reflex enclosure uses a rear-firing Flowport, a dimpled and flared port design that smooths airflow to reduce the turbulent noise and distortion that conventional cylindrical ports can produce. An included two-piece foam plug allows fine-tuning of bass output: the larger outer piece can be used alone for partial damping, or both pieces together for maximum bass reduction when the speaker is positioned close to a wall.

System Integration

Designed to sit beneath a television, the HTM6 S2 Anniversary Edition is voiced to integrate seamlessly with other speakers in the 600 Series Anniversary range. Binding post terminals support both bi-wiring and bi-amping for flexible amplifier configurations.
