While the T Series satellites (T101, T301) measure just 35mm deep, the T2 subwoofer adopts a compact closed-box enclosure to house a 250mm (10in.) bass driver and 250W Class D amplifier, delivering room-filling low-frequency extension from a form factor that remains easy to conceal against or beneath furniture.
Design and Construction
The T2 uses a sealed (closed-box) enclosure, which trades a degree of low-end extension for tighter, more controlled bass — a deliberate choice that keeps the subwoofer operating in the same acoustic phase as the accompanying T Series satellites for seamless integration. The 250mm driver is powered by a built-in Class D amplifier rated at 250 watts, providing ample headroom for both music and home cinema use.
Integration and Placement
Designed to complement KEF’s T Series satellites, the T2 handles the low-frequency duties that the ultra-slim T101 and T301 speakers cannot reproduce on their own. Its compact dimensions and wall-mountable design make it straightforward to position in a room without dominating the space. The subwoofer operates from 30Hz up to 250Hz, crossing over naturally with the T Series satellites to complete a full-range system.
